Coral Jewellery

The new Coral Jewellery range from Zoo uses only farmed coral from an ethical source. The coral we use is not mined from reefs but is a farmed, cultured coral from shell farms in Madura, a coastal area off the island of Java, Indonesia.

This particular coral grows in shoots up to 6 feet tall and 2 inches thick, it is just like bamboo and almost as prolific in it's growth. So you can wear your pretty coral earrings and jewellery with a clear conscience knowing that you are also supporting a thriving fair trade family business overseas and helping to sustain their lives.
